Malamine and Cyanuric Acid have been named as the two chemicals that have been in combination may have contributed to cat death leading to a pet food recall earlier this year.
Melamine is used to make plastic and and Cyanuric Acid is helpful at retarding the breakdown of chlorine in swimming pools.
Last April, more than 100 brands of tainted cat and dog food were recalled.
